7th Olutumbi Maduka Annual Lecture, APWEN

Engr. Mrs. Akingbagbohun joined the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) at the 7th Olutumbi Maduka Annual Lecture (OMAL), held to celebrate the 85th birthday of APWEN’s founder and first president, Engr. Mrs. Olu Maduka, FNaEng, FNSE. The lecture, themed “Waste to Wealth Revolution: Women Leading Africa’s Sustainable Enterprises,” was delivered by Achenyo Idachaba-Obaro, Founder and CEO of Mitimeth, who called on APWEN to mentor coastal communities and young innovators in commercialising waste into sustainable businesses.

She paid tribute to Engr. Mrs. Maduka for giving female engineers a voice and a platform to excel, inspire and be empowered, in keeping with APWEN’s pillars of Enable, Enhance and Excel.
