Mega Clima Expo & ASHRAE Distinguished Lecture

Engr. Mrs. Akingbagbohun took part in a week of engagements for Nigeria’s HVACR industry, beginning with the Mega Clima Expo opening ceremony at the Landmark Event Centre, one of West Africa’s foremost gatherings for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, and culminating in the ASHRAE Distinguished Lecture hosted at Four Points by Sheraton Lagos.

The Mega Clima Expo opening ceremony was declared open by the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Ali Rabiu, FNSE, FAEng, MFR, alongside other dignitaries from the NSE and the built environment. It brought together industry leaders, manufacturers, engineers, policymakers, exhibitors and stakeholders from Nigeria and abroad around an exhibition of modern HVACR systems, refrigeration technologies, ventilation solutions, cold-chain innovation and smart energy products, with goodwill messages emphasising sustainable cooling technologies, energy efficiency and climate-responsive infrastructure across Africa’s developing economies.

The week’s engagements, spanning exhibitions, technical showcases and the ASHRAE Distinguished Lecture, underscored the growing relevance of HVACR technologies to sustainable development, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and smart infrastructure in Nigeria, and reinforced the importance of collaboration across engineering, construction, manufacturing and environmental sustainability in developing the next generation of HVACR professionals.
