Mentor & Keynote Speaker, The Young Orators National Competition

Engr. Mrs. Akingbagbohun served as mentor and keynote speaker at The Young Orators National Competition, organised by the Peat Philips Foundation under the leadership of Mr. Akin Olu-Philips, in partnership with the English-Speaking Union and the Lagos State Government. The competition gives young people a platform to develop confidence and skill in spoken word and public speaking.

In her keynote, she urged the finalists to see oratory as an act of building rather than mere performance: structuring thought into clarity, speaking with empathy for an audience, and using authenticity, discomfort and integrity as the foundations of a distinctive voice. She commended the Foundation and the competition’s coaches for investing in the development of young Nigerian voices.
